UNTD, RCN(R)

Lieutenant-Commander, O-70464, RCN

Died: 09 Feb 2022

STOLEE, Erling Brynyulf - With his family at his side, Erling passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 94. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Gerry. He had the utmost pride in the accomplishments of his three daughters, Ginny (Gordon), Karen (Douglas) and Kate (James). He cherished his grandchildren, Hayley (Corey), Wynne (Zach) and Erik (Kayla). He felt so blessed to share time with his great-granddaughter, Audrey. The tight bond he had with his brothers Leif (Elizabeth) and James never wavered. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Joan (Clifford) Mendum and by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Erling was predeceased by his parents Peter and Ragna (Lefsrud) and eldest sister Eleanor (Harry). We will miss his wit, wisdom and the ever present sparkle in his eye. He was our stalwart Norwegian Viking till the end. We would like to express our special thanks to the Acclaim Home Palliative Team of nurses, personal support workers and Dr. G. Surbey. Services will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are in the care of Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville. In remembrance of Erling, contributions to the Children's Literacy Program of the Perth and District Union Public Library c/o the Perth and District Community Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Leeds, Lanark and Grenville would be appreciated.
