MANIFOLD, Charles Robin (Rob) - Sadly, on April 28, 2015 in Duncan, BC, we said goodbye to Charles Robin (Rob) Manifold. Rob was born in Calgary on July 11, 1925 and grew up in North Vancouver BC. He graduated from the Royal Canadian Naval College, at Royal Roads, in 1944. After graduation Rob was posted to serve with the Royal Navy for the balance of WWII, at the end of the war, he returned to service in the RCN until his retirement in 1971 as a Lieutenant Commander. In 1950 Rob married Sheila Challice in Halifax NS. He joined the Esquimalt Lions Club in 1969 and eventually served as Zone Chairman and the District Governor for Lions District 19-I. Rob is predeceased by his loving wife Sheila, and is survived by his sons Rick and Geoff, his daughter-in-law Dodie, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service is being held at First Memorial Chapel, 4725 Falaise Drive Victoria, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
