FEENER, James Sinclair (Jim) - of Brookfield passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Elk Court. Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Wallace Feener and Lillian (Simmons) (Feener) McCully.
Jim served with Royal Canadian Navy as a sonar technician on service ships and submarines and retired in 1979. He then went to work with Albany Cartage Company Ltd. and retired from there in 1996. Jim was a member of Knox United Church, Brookfield where he served on Session and Board of Stewards. He was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro, an avid golfer and member of Brookfield Golf Club, Brookfield Men's Club and former member of Brookfield Curling Club.
Jim is survived by his wife, D. Marlene (Fisher) Feener; children, Shelley (Jeffrey) Rutherford, London, Ontario, Michael Feener (Patti Cook), Greenfield, Adinda (Chris) Kunder, London, Ontario; grandchildren, Alycia White, Chad (Vicky) Rutherford, Brianna Kunder, Cheyanne Kunder, Ariana Kunder and Cody Kunder; great grandchildren, Braydon Rutherford, Mikayla White, Kylee Rutherford and Brodee Rutherford.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where visitation will be held 4-6 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026 and funeral service will be 1 pm, Friday, September 18, 2026. Interment will follow in Brookfield Westside Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of choice. (Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, Truro, NS)
