Harry Furness Leggett

 

Chief Petty Officer 1st Class, Torpedo Armourer, 2545-E, RCN

 

Born: 25 Apr 1913, Regina, Saskatchewan

 

Died: 25 May 1985, Victoria, British Columbia

 

Harry Leggett joined the RCN on 04 Sep 1930 as a Boy Seaman.  He received the RCN Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 16 Jun 1946.  He retired on 16 Jun 1952.

 

Citation for Mentioned in Despatches:  LEGGETT, Harry Furness, Able Seaman, 2545, Mention in Despatches, RCN, HMCS FRASER.  Awarded as per London Gazette of 18 October 1940.  "For good services when HMCS Fraser was lost."
