In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SCOVILLE, Walter Dennis (Denis) - 57, of Spryfield, died Thursday at home.
Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Judson Scoville.
He was a veteran of the Second World War while serving in the Royal Canadian Navy.
Besides his wife, the former Elsie Patterson, he is survived by two sons, Dennis, Spryfield and Douglas, at home; two daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Robert Michalko), Harrietsfield; Valerie (Mrs. Jean Gaudet), Spryfield; three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Moses, South Ohio; Mrs. Adma Whitehouse, Hebron; Ruth, South Ohio; a brother, Stanley, Ontario; six grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister and a brother.
The body is at Cruikshank's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield, Rev. Donald Neish will officiate. Burial in the church cemetery. (The Halifax Chronicle Herald, Friday, 21 Jun 1974 pg 42) / Courtesy of George Newbury
