KLOOSTERMAN, James (Jim) - age 91, of Halifax Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026

 

James was born on January 20 1935 in Kingsmill Ontario. James met his beloved wife Marie in Belfast N. Ireland, they married in Ireland on December 27 1957. He was predeceased by his numerous brothers and sister.

 

He was a devoted father to his three children Stephen (Deborah), Kelly Bellevue (Timothy) and Tracy Rose (Herb). He will be dearly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

 

Jim served for 27 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. Serving in Korea on HMCS Haida in 1952

 

Jim loved spending time outdoors and fishing. He adored his many dogs throughout the years and treated them like his children. Known for his warm spirit, he always wore a smile and was truly a giver, consistently putting others before himself.
