HMCS CHIGNECTO 160
Bay Class Minesweeper
Built by G.T. Davie & Sons, Lauzon, she was commissioned on 01 Aug 1957, and with her sisters, was eventually transferred to Esquimalt and formed part of the Training Group Pacific until paid off on 19 Dec 1998. Sold to Budget Steel of Victoria, she was scrapped shortly thereafter.
On 26 Jun 1967, CHIGNECTO departed Jetty 1 in Halifax to Shediac, NB; Cap aux Meules; Seven Islands; Sept Is; Tadoussac, PQ, Chicoutimi; Murray Bay; Quebec City; Murray Bay; Rimouski; Matane; Cap Chat; Chandler; Dalhousie; Richbuctou; Bathurst 2 Aug to 4th; Ramea; Fortune; St. John's; Clarenville; Burin; and returned to Jetty 5, Halifax 17 Aug 1967.
