LLOYD, William Henry - was born in Winnipeg on March 28, 1920. He attended Bannatyne School and Linwood Collegiate in St. James, Man., before joining the Navy in June, 1938, as an Ordinary Seaman. during the war he served on the North Atlantic in the FRASER, the British cruiser YORK, the first HMCS OTTAWA, the SOREL, TROIS RIVIERES and the second OTTAWA. After the was he served in NEW LISKEARD, MAGNIFICENT, NEW LISKEARD again, HAIDA and HURON.
