Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class Boatswain Trade Group 4, RCN

 

Born: 16 Aug 1914, Nova Scotia

 

Died: 11 Nov 1966, Moser River, Nova Scotia

 

GRAVES, Orville Bruce - Son of Harold C. and Reta (Stevens) Graves; husband of Mary Graves - died 11 Nov 1966 of acute coronary occlusion while hunting near Moser River, NS. He served in the RCNR 22 Sep 1939-15 Nov 1945 and the RCN(R) 08 Mar 1951 - 02 Mar 1952.  On 03 Mar 1952 he transferred to the RCN and retired 16 Aug 1964.

 


 

Wednesday, March 19, 1941 Bridgewater Bulletin and South Shore Record Page Eight CHESTER NEWS - Orville Graves, of H.M.C.N., Halifax, accompanied by Mrs. Graves and child, spent a week's vacation at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Graves.
