McCREEDY, Ross H. - It is with great sadness, our family announces the death of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on March 4, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years June Mary McCreedy (nee Pile), his daughters, Sandy Bell and Chris Harmon (Tom), along with 5 grand children, Alaina Statham (Anthony), Jacob Harmon (Cheryl), Christopher Bell (Julia), David Bell (Deirdre), Alison Bell (Jeremy), and 4 great-grandsons, Oliver, Theodore, Finnigan and Frederic. He was preceded in death by siblings Helen (Allan), Mervin (Margaret), Al (Ruth), and great-grandson, Rowan.

Ross was born in Dryden, Ontario, January 8, 1934, the middle child of 5.

As a father of two girls, Ross spent many hours coaching, and sharing his love of sports and the outdoors, with camping trips and teaching about hobby farming. Pulling a horse trailer and moving loads of hay were regular weekend activities.

Ross was a proud Veteran. He worked in the Canadian Navy, sailed on many different ships and then shared his knowledge teaching new recruits. After his retirement from the Navy, he pursued his dreams of working for himself.

Ross was an avid athlete, starting with hockey as a young man, softball and golf as the years passed. He was also a passionate fisherman who spent many years fishing off the Sooke coast, catching, smoking, and canning fish for his friends and family.

Ross and June loved to travel and spent decades as proud snowbirds, travelling between their home on Vancouver Island and the Arizona Desert. Ross was an outgoing and fun-loving man who was often the life of the party! They had friends and family everywhere they lived and travelled. He was always quick to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Over the years, Ross spent much time volunteering with several organizations, the Legion being his favourite.

Ross will be sadly missed by many.
