WEATHERUP, James A. (Bud) - Passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Montreal August 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Edwin and Jean Weatherup. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred (Parker); son, Sean (Karen); daughter, Caroline Rhodenizer (Stan); grand- children, Heather, Garrett, and Jacklyn; great-grandchildren, Bennett, Zoey. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Jean Allen. Bud proudly served in The Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years, having sailed on board various ships and submarines, including HMCS HAIDA, HMCS MAGNIFICENT, HMCS BONAVENTURE, HMCS OJIBWA. He enjoyed woodworking, especially creating miniature doll houses. Visitation Tuesday, March 30th, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home (Sackville Chapel), 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, please call for a visitation appointment 902-864-1434 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. For those who wish to do so, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated by the family.
