ROBERTSON, Robert - Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years on November 26, 2018 in Vernon, B.C. Bob, was preceded in death by his wife Marge, to whom he was married for 63 years. Born June 6, 1926 in Swift Current, Robbie is the last of his eleven siblings. He left home in 1944 to join The Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. In 1948 he transferred to The Royal Canadian Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean War. During his career Dad worked his way through the ranks, receiving his commission and after 32 successful years retired at rank of Captain. Moving from Victoria to Penticton in 1986, Bob & Marge traveled extensively, while also being active members with the Penticton Legion where he served as Secretary Treasurer and President. Dad had a love for gardening while always taking time for friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Robert is survived by their four children, Terry (Rina), Barbara (Dave), Don, Bruce (Joanne), 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. "Forever in our hearts" A celebration of Bob's life will be scheduled in 2019. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Robert's name to the Vancouver Children's Hospital.
