BELYEA, Christie Milton, OS, V77593, RCNVR, Died - 23 Sep 1944, HMCS CORNWALLIS - Son of Major Christie M. Belyea and Victoria M. Belyea, of Saint John.  Prior to joining the Navy he worked as an electrician's helper. 

 

Ordinary Seaman Belyea was accidentally killed at HMCS CORNWALLIS when he fell from the back of a truck which was in motion on the naval base.

* Commenced Active Service 13 Mar 1944 as an Ordinary Seaman, RCNVR

HMCS CORNWALLIS - Drafted to CORNWALLIS 17 May 1944

HMCS SANS PEUR - Served in SANS PEUR 15-22 Jul 1944 for seamanship training while drafted to CORNWALLIS
