GLASGOW, William Allan, OS, V31306, RCNVR, DOW: 14 Oct 1942, HMCS AVALON / S.S. CARIBOU - Son of William and Lucy Glasgow, of Verdun, Quebec.
OS Glasgow died when the S.S. Caribou was torpedoed and sunk on 14 Oct 1942. OS Glasgow was returning to HMCS AVALON aboard the CARIBOU from funeral services for his brother his brother, Charles Glasgow, RCNVR, who died in the sinking of HMCS OTTAWA H60. His body was recovered and he was Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal, Quebec.
William's brother, Joseph Glasgow, also served in the RCNVR during the Second World War.
