I remustered to Naval Aircrewman ‘62/63 and posted to VS 880 Sqn flying in Trackers off Bonaventure until ‘69. Unification in ‘67 put Naval Air into the history books and we became Air Element. Posted to CF Air Navigation School at CFB Winnipeg ‘69 to ‘74 instructing Basic Airborne Electronics and Communications Procedures in classrooms and Dak’s. In ‘74 was posted to VP 405 Sqn at CFB Greenwood flying in the Argus. In ‘80 was posted to VP 407 Sqn at CFB Comox flying in the Argus and the new Aurora. Took my release in ‘84 with 29 years Reg Force and then went with the CIL, (Security at Quadra) and the ARAF as an Ops Duty Officer for the next 6 years.
