Died: 03 Feb 1989, Winnipeg, Manitoba

 

JENSON, Gerald Kingsley - It is with much sadness that the family announces the passing of a much beloved husband and father, Gerald Kingsley Jenson at the Grace Hospital on Thursday, February 23, 1989.

 

He is survived by his loving wife Dollena; his daughters, Barbara (Donald) Young, Kathleen Jenson and her husband Robert Brill; his son James and his wife Laura; four grandchildren, Cameron, Andrea, Terry and Cory; his sister Margaret (Ralph) Inglis; his brother Latham (alma) and his sister-in-law Doreen Holcombe. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Earnest and Sarah.

 

Gerald was born in Calgary, September 15, 1923. He served in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War. Following his service in the Navy, Gerald began working for Canada Customs in Calgary. In 1969, he was promoted and transferred to Winnipeg and served for 45 years before retiring in 1988.

 

At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.

 

The family would like to thanks Drs. Burns and Garwood and the staff at the Grace Hospital for their kindness.

 

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook, R3C 2B7.
