CHAPMAN, Frederick Harold - was a fishing guide, mercolized wax producer and worked at Gibbard's Furniture Shop making cabinets before enlisting in the RCNVR on 04 Sep 1940 in Kingston, Ontario. He served in HMCS HURON and HMCS HAIDA in the North Atlantic, European waters and on the Murmansk Run. He suffered injuries to one eye and ear from gunfire burns. Towards the end of the war he was employed ashore in clerical duties. He was demobilized on 28 Aug 1945 as an OS. After the war he worked for Lennox Foods, then as a production worker at Millhaven Fibres, and later, self employed as a cabinet maker andboat builder in Bath.
