RICE, Stanley Norman, Sto 1c, V31943, RCNVR, MPK - 06 Feb 1943, HMCS LOUISBURG - Son of Walter John and Lydia Rice, of Toronto, Ontario.

 

Stoker Rice died when his ship, HMCS LOUISBURG, which was on convoy duty in the Mediterranean, was sunk by bombs and torpedoes from Italian aircraft.

HMCS YORK - Enlisted 30 Mar 1942. Commenced Active Service 06 Apr 1942 as a Sto 2c, RCNVR
