NINIAN, Thomas Maxton, O/Tel, V13776, RCNVR, MPK - 06 Feb 1943, HMCS LOUISBURG - Son of William C. and Elizabeth C. Ninian, of Calgary, Alberta.

 

O/Tel Ninian died when his ship, HMCS LOUISBURG, which was on convoy duty in the Mediterranean, was sunk by bombs and torpedoes from Italian aircraft.

 

Thomas' brother, George Angus Ninian, also served in the RCNVR during the Second World War.

HMCS STADACONA - Drafted to STADACONA 15 Jun 1941 as an OS, RCNVR
