JONES, Harold Beatty, AB, V16924, RCNVR killed - 11 Apr 1945, HMCS STRATHADAM - Son of Charles and Mary Dalrymple Jones, of Fort William, Ontario.

 

Able Seaman H. B. Jones was one of six members of the crew of HMCS STRATHADAM killed by a premature Hedgehog explosion on board the frigate during an attack on a suspected submarine. He is buried in the Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
