DUPUIS, Ronald Joseph (Joe), AB, V69383, RCNVR MPK - 24 Nov 1944, HMCS SHAWINIGAN - Son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph George Dupuis, of McLennan, Alberta.

 

AB Dupuis died when HMCS SHAWINIGAN was sunk by U-1228 on 24 Nov 1944. Of her crew of 91, there were no survivors.

HMCS NONSUCH - Enlisted 19 Aug 1943. Commenced active service 18 Oct 1943 as an Ordinary Seaman, RCNVR

HMCS CORNWALLIS - Drafted to CORNWALLIS 19 Dec 1943

HMCS CARIBOU - Served in CARIBOU 19 Feb 1944 - 25 Feb 1944 while in training at HMCS CORNWALLIS

HMCS STADACONA - Drafted to STADACONA 01 Apr 1944

HMCS SHAWINIGAN - Drafted to SHAWINIGAN 20 Apr 1944 as an OS, RCNVR. Rated AB 18 Oct 1944
