MIDDLETON, Maurice - age 77 of Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully March 13, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Wolverhampton, England, he was a son of the late Irene and Arthur Middleton. He was a proud member of the Canadian Navy for 22 years. After his retirement, he worked at Halifax Infirmary for 20 years. He was very active in his church. He volunteered his time to help others. He enjoyed building model trains, ships; painting; bowling. He was very social, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by his companion, Murial Warren and her daughter, Susan. Maurice is survived by daughters, Barbara Moore, Dianna Meery; son, Christopher Middleton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Chris (Muriel) Middleton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve and his son, Robert Cox. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, Halifax. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Maurice’s life will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21st in Regal Heights Baptist Church, 6 Regal Rd., Dartmouth, with a reception to follow, officiated by Rev. Jason Cole. Interment to take place at a later date in Fort Massey Cemetery, Halifax.
