SOMERS, Murray Francis - peacefully succumbed today, after a valiant two year struggle against cancer at the Trenton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Loving husband of Dorothy (Jean) nee Hancock since the 12th of April 1946. They had lived in Brighton this past 18 years. Loving father of Wayne and Theresa and their spouses Pamela and John Casey. Grandfather of Susan, Christopher, Lesley, Alexandra and Jewel. Great-grandfather of Robin and Genevieve, the children of Susan. Loving Uncle of Verna Leclerc and buddy to her spouse Francis Sibiri. Murray retired from the Bell Telephone 19 years ago after a career spanning over 43 years in their Toronto technical offices. He retired from the old "Cherry" exchange in Weston. Resting at the Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division Street, Trenton. A family service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 at 11 a.m. Rev. Michael Calderwood officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto at a later date. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Murray's name would be appreciated.
