Acquired by RCN: 1939

Paid off: 1945

Fate: Returned to previous owners in 1945. Sank on 07 Dec 1990 in the Hecate Strait

 

A vessel hired from the Powell River Co. for miscellaneous duties, Norsal returned to commercial service after the war. She was renamed Maui Lu in 1973. She sank in Hecate Strait on 07 Dec 1990. Her specifications were: Length: 122.3 ft, Beam: 19 ft, Draught: 10.5 ft, Speed: 10 knots, Complement: 3 officers, 17 men, Armament: 1 x .303 machine gun.
