Dorothy Rose Robin (née Galbraith)

Died:17 Dec 2008, Vancouver, British Columbia

 

ROBIN, Dorothy Rose (née GALBRAITH) - Class of 1944 Rose (Galbraith) Robin trained as a lab technician and worked for the Red Cross blood transfusion service. She spent several years in Halifax, Hamilton, Ottawa and Victoria BC with the Canadian Naval Reserves as a Sub-Lieutenant in train- ing but left to return to hospital work in Van- couver. She met her future husband, Dr. Pe- ter Robin, at the Shaughnessy Military Hos- pital. They were married in 1957 and lived in White Rock, BC bringing up three chil- dren. The retired to Duncan on Vancouver Island where Rose died on December 17, 2008. She was a generous supporter of the Alumni Fund. Her sister, Eleanor Galbraith (1943) lives in Burnaby, BC.
