Peter stayed in the Navy after the war and was part of a Good Will Tour by the Canadian Navy. The tour travelled on the HMCS Uganda to Peru, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil in South America, the Falkland Islands, Mexico, Trinidad, Panama, USA and Canada. Peter was discharged in November 1950.
