In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
AUBREY, George Brett - Born in Ottawa, Ontario he was the youngest of three of parents Margaret Fitchpatrick and Frederick Aubrey. He was born in Ottawa and moved out West after spending time as a submariner with the Canadian Navy.
Brett joined the Royal Canadian Navy. He served in HMCS La Hulloise, St. Laurent, Bonaventure and in the Submarines HMCS Onondaga and Okanagan. Brett took his submarine training in April 1968 on Oberon Course BSQ #8 and served in submarines until 1972. He was a Radar Plotter by trade.
He loved the mountains and photography and spent time exploring. A favourite past time was bagging peaks - be it on the Columbia, Wapta or Lyell Icefields. When not in the Icefields, he loved to backpack our Canadian Rockies.
He was game to try all things at least once be that paragliding, diving and even parenting. He leaves two sons, Bryce and Keith and his wife Linda. Rest in Peace.
