McCOMB, Gerald Edward Christopher - passed away, in Victoria, B.C. , on August 13, 2001, in his 68th year. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Enid McComb and his wife, of 24 years, June; he is lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen; children, Darrell (Po), Dale, Darlene (Richard Spearman) Bogdan, Dawn (Steve) Jones and Loren McInerney; grandchildren, Michael, Neil, Sheri (Clay), Kimberly, Jamie, Christopher, Mark, Sarah, Alanna and Kendra; Steven; great-granddaughter, Taylor; brothers, Jim (Simone) and Harry; sister, Barbara (Ted) Sabourin. Red served in the Royal Canadian Navy for over 30 years and loved fishing, curling, dancing, Karaokee, hunting and his grandchildren and to have a good time wherever and whenever. Service of Remembrance will be held in the Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Avenue, Colwood, B.C. , on Friday, August 17, at 12:00 noon. Cremation entrusted to Hatley Memorial Gardens. Donations in Chris' memory may be made to The Victoria Hospice Society, 1900 Fort Street, Victoria, B.C. , V8R 1J8 or the Palliative Care Unit, Royal Jubilee Hospital, 1900 Fort Street, Victoria, B.C. V8R 1J8.
