In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LEE, Danny George Robert - It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our father, grandfather, great grandfather, Danny Lee on February 26, 2022 at Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, where he had resided for the past 7 years. Born on April 28, 1931 in Saint John, N.B., he was the only child of Herbert and Louise (Burnett) Lee. Dad served with the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years, starting at HMCS Cornwallis, NS and serving on several frigates including HMCS BONAVENTURE, HMCS PRESERVER and HMCS COLUMBIA. Dad also spent 6 months in the Golan Heights on a peace keeping mission. After retiring from the Armed Forces he worked for the Corps Commissioner for 15 years. Dad was an avid pool player from a very young age. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Calias Branch 162 in Lower Sackville since 1976 and played on the pool league there every Tuesday night until his health caused him to stop. He also played pool with Halifax Metro Pool League for several years. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Arvilla (Craft) and his eldest daughter, Anne Marie Perry, both in 2016; his son-in law, Billy Perry and his grandson, Douglas Quesnel in infancy. Dad is survived by daughters, Georgina Lee and Wanda Quesnel and his son, Robert Lee; grandson Dean (Jennifer) Lee and their children, Jaxon, Addison and Jailee; granddaughter Amy (Anthony) Nicholson; grandson Nicholas (Patricia) Quesnel and their children, Aimee and Nathan; brother in-law Bill Craft and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the outstanding staff of Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage for the care, love and support they have shown to dad and his family over the past 7 years. No visitation or memorial is scheduled at this time. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Saint John, N.B. (Dartmouth Funeral Homes)
