ELSWORTH, Harold Edward, AB, V24808, RCNVR, died - 22 Mar 1943 - HMCS GIVENCHY - Son of Robert Edward and Mabel Elsworth, Winnipeg, MB.

 

Able Seaman H. E. Elsworth was granted a forty-eight hours leave on January 30, 1943 from HMCS DAWSON and was found drowned, his body was recovered on March 22, 1943. The Board of Inquiry recommended the further investigation be carried out by the Victoria city police department.

 

AB Elsworth is buried in the Veterans Cemetery, Esquimalt, BC.
