Born: 06 Mar 1916

 

Died: 10 Jan 2007, Welland, Ontario

 

FINLAY, James Clinton - at the Welland Hospital, on Wednesday January 10, 2007, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Betty Finlay (1994). Loving father of Margaret Kleinsmith and husband Roger of Welland, Maxine Gaylor and husband Doug of Fonthill, Charles Finlay and wife Barbara of St. Catharines and James Finlay and wife Janet of Whitby. Also loved by his 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Jean, Bessie, Agnes and brothers David, John and Willie. He served in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve during World War Two and worked for Union Carbide until his retirement in 1982. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 & 7-9pm Friday January 12th at the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday January 13th 2007 at 1:00 pm. with interment to follow at Fonthill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
