Mentioned in Despatches Citation:  DAY, Alexander Earle, Ordinary Telegraphist (V - 22029) (Posthumous) - Mention in Despatches - RCNVR / HMCS Otter - Awarded as per London Gazette of 4 November 1941 (no Canada Gazette) - "For gallantry and devotion to duty when HMCS Otter was lost."
