RUSH, Frank - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Brantford on Tuesday November 20, 2007. Frank Rush in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of the late Sonia (nee Whitford) who pre-deceased Frank on May 15, 2005. Father of Steven and his wife Karin of Ibizia, Spain. Brother of Shirley Martin and her husband Gerry of Brantford and brother-in-law of Clark Whitford of Simcoe. Also survived by nieces, nephews Diane, Joanne, Sandra and Michael and cousins. Frank was a life member of the Brant Artillery Gunners Club serving as Sgt-at-Arms and the President for two terms and was a long time member of the Brant Naval Club. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for five years on the HMCS Haida and HMCS Quebec and was proud of his family's military heritage. He was as a firefighter for the City of Brantford and had worked for many years at White Farm Equipment, Gates Rubber Company and Operation Lift. Frank loved more than anything, his family. He enjoyed a round of golf with anyone and the friendship that followed. He loved to cut the grass on Fridays, relax with the fresh smell of the lilacs and have a drink and admire a job well done. Well done Frank Rush. You will be missed by all. Friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground.
