DEITER, Clayton Lloyd - Age 71, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2014, in the Halifax Infirmary, QWII with family at his side. Clayton was born September 13, 1943 in Mindemova, Manitoulin Island, Ont. to Carl and Grace Deiter. He served 26 years with the Canadian Armed Forces, in the Navy. He is survived by loving wife, Pearl; son, David; sister, Patricia Buchan of Ontario; brother-in-aw, Richard (Bertha) Foley, Mount Uniacke; sister-in-law, Ethel Chisholm, Windsor; stepsisters, Mary, Sheila and Carole and stepbrother, Danny, all from Ontario. Besides his parents, Clayton was predeceased by sister, Anita; brother, Gregory; brother-in-law, Donald Foley and stepsister, Jean. There is no visitation and a memorial service will be held on December 9, at 1:30 p.m. in Mosaic Church, 28 Willett St., in Clayton Park, Pastor Bill Wozney will officiate. Special thanks goes to EHS, Emergency staff, Dr. Moller and staff CCU, especially Lisa for the exceptional care given to Clayton. Also to VON, especially Sandi Moss who provided 13 years of service to Clay. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
