ARNOLD, John Martin (Stretch) - Naval Aviator John was born in Lindsay, Ontario on May 31, 1933. He passed away on November 5, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth); his sons, John (Chantal), Bryan (Mai) and Jeffrey (Cheryl and son Blake) and was the proud grandfather of Christopher (Grandpops), Linh Sa and Gabriel (Grumpy) of Victoria. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Diesing (Heinz) of Caledon East, Ontario; sister-in-law, Theresa Quartermain (Art); brother-in-law, Gerard Begley (Bernice) of Ontario and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kingsley Arnold, Lt (P) RCN. The family wish to thank the caring Doctors and Nurses, (especially, Jeff, Sandra and Celina) on 3rd floor, North Jubilee Hospital, for their care and compassion. Thank you Rev. Canon Dr. John Steele for your presence and prayers during John's final hours. No service by John's request. His cremated remains will wait for Beth to join him, then to be scattered by their sons in a few of the special places that gave John and Beth pleasure in times past. If desired, donations in John's memory may be made to the ALS Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
