STEWART, David Heggie, 2nd Engineer Officer, Merchant Navy, MPK - 03 Dec 1944, S.S. CORNWALLIS - Husband of Winnifred Stewart, of Cobourg, Ontario.

 

2nd Engineer Officer Stewart died when the SS CORNWALLIS was torpedoed and sunk 10 miles southwest of Mount Desert Rock in the Gulf of Maine by U-1230 on 03 Dec 1944 with the loss of 35 of her crew.
