CALDWELL, David Edward - age 82 years of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 10, 2025 in the Halifax Infirmary.

Born in Welland, Ontario on October 23, 1942; he was a son of the late David and Iva (Schisler) Caldwell.

At the age of 17, Dave enlisted into the Royal Canadian Navy, he attained the rank of PO2. He also served on HMCS Annapolis, Bonaventure, then joined the Submarine Service in 1970. Dave was a submariner for close to 17 years, before retiring from the service in November 1987 at the age of 44 years. Dave then went on to do welding fabrication in 1988 to 1998 with Creative Canvas. He became a Commissionaire in 1999 to 2021, he finally retired at the age of 79 years. Dave also liked to travel but only by car, as he didn't like planes. Whenever he wanted to go somewhere he would take his time to stop here and there to take in all the sights. The place he loved most of all was Walt Disney World, he was so happy there. Dave also loved building things especially his house in 1971, that he and Carol still lived in. Also, his pride and joy were building custom crib boards.

Caldwell; adored grandchildren, MacKenzie and Nicholas; cherished great grandchildren, Ava, Georgia and Owen; brothers, Doug Caldwell and Dale Caldwell; also by several nieces and nephews.
