KER, John Southam - Surrounded by family at Parkwood Hospital, London on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 John Southam Ker, age 86 years. Beloved husband of Maggie (nee McKeown) Ker. Predeceased by his wife Bengie (nee Ellis) (1983). Cherished father of Kate Ker (Paul), Sally Ker, Alex Ker (Tony), John F.R. Ker and Thomas Ker. Dear grandfather of Isaac and Bengie. Dear brother of Mary Earnshaw (late Eric) and Jean Watson (late Tom). Predeceased by brothers Frederick and David Ker. Dear brother-in-law of Gail Ker. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Tyrconnell, Ontario. John's brother, SLt Frederick Southam Ker, lost his life during the Second World War when the ship he was serving in, HMS GODETIA, was sunk in a collision with a merchant ship while on convoy escort.
