ALLSOP, George Young Jr. - Born in England on November 11, 1925. Passed away at Heron Terrace Thursday, June 4, 2009. Son of the late Isabelle and George Young Allsop Sr. Beloved husband of Edna Marie Allsop (nee Renaud, formerly Bois) for 46 years. Dear stepfather to Rhea (Arthur) Morash and Thomas (Brenda) Bois. Dear grandfather of Steven (Leslie) Morash, John (Elizabeth) Morash, Andrea (Denis) Supic, Jennie Bois, and Meredith Bois. Dear great grandfather of Kelsey, Abbigail, Ethan, Brittney, and Courtney. Brother of Vera (the late Richard) Norden of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also survived by in-laws Louise and Syd Beaton, California, Rosemary (the late Lloyd) Cook, Leona and Tom Maxwell, Rita (the late Victor) Barrette, Mary Ann St. Onge, Pauline Buchkowski, and Cecile (the late Herman) Parent. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Ernest, Leo, and Norman Renaud. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a former employee of Hawker Sidley / Canadian Bridge Company for over 40 years, a WWII Veteran, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #255 for 41 years, and enjoyed playing golf. Visitation at the WALTER D. KELLY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 1969 Wyandotte Street East, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in chapel on Monday morning June 8, 2009 at 11 o'clock. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Comrades of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #255 will hold a Memorial Service on Sunday June 7, 2009 at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Alzheimer's would be appreciated by the family.
