SHIERS, Darrell Leonard Grant - Served with the Royal Canadian Navy on the HMCS Terra Nova & HMCS Cape Scott - entered into rest at QHC Belleville General Hospital on Friday evening March 9th, 2018, in his 77th year. Son of the late Elmer & Gladys Shiers (nee Jones). Dear husband of the late Linda Joan Shiers (nee Berry). Loving father of Deborah Shiers, Michele Cotton (Harold) and Tamara Shiers. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Cheryl (Mike), Christina, Jennifer, Wesley (Tayler), Grayson, Jake, Harold, Nathaniel, Emily, Patrick and many great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mabel McMenemy (Mack) and uncle to Sean (Jenn) and Erin. Cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. If desired, donations to Citizens Against the Melrose Quarry, (checks made payable to CAMQ) would be appreciated by the family.
