Born: 11 Feb 1933, Southampton, UK

 

Died: 27 Jun 1987, Windsor, Ontario

 

DONOVAN, Roy A. (Ray) - He was born in Southampton, UK. After immigrating to Canada he joined the RCN at HMCS Hunter in Windsor, Ontario.

 

He served in HMCS Haida during the Korea War. He later joined Submarines and served in HMS/M Thermopylae and HMS/M Alliance in Singapore. He later joined HMCS Ojibwa after her return to Canada. He was an LSWU while serving in Ojibwa.

 

Roy passed away in Windsor, Ontario on the 27th June 1987.

HMCS HAIDA - Served in HAIDA for her 1stKorean War Tour as an Able Seaman
