PADDON, James Weymuth, AB, 2730, RCN, MPK - 25 Jun 1940, HMCS FRASER - Son of George Henry and Delina Elizabeth Paddon, of Windsor, Ontario; husband of Elizabeth Ann Paddon, of Windsor.

 

AB Paddon died when his ship, HMCS FRASER, was in a collision with HMS CALCUTTA 12 miles due west of Pointe de la Coubre light at the Gironde River mouth and sank as a result with the loss of 65 of her crew.

 

James' brother George Howard Paddon served in the RCNVR during the Second World War.  His brother John Neil Paddon joined the RCN post war.
