PARENT, Bernard Joseph, LS, Clearance Diver, C.A.F. (Navy), died - 20 Apr 1993, FLEET DIVING UNIT (Atlantic) - Son of Bernard Joseph and Jean Mary Parent of Milford Station, Nova Scotia. Brother of Paul Parent. Husband of Patricia Marie (nee Morrison) Parent and father of Andrianna Nicole and Robin Laurel Parent of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

 

LS Parent died after a massive arterial gas embolism after having encounter problems on a training ounter measure exercise and became fouled on his descent shot line when descending to 270 feet.  LS Parent is buried in the Dartmouth Memorial Garden, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  LS Parent enlisted in the Navy on 11 Feb 1986 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

 


 

PARENT, Bernard Joseph Phillip (Bernie) - 29, Shearwater, died April 20, 1993, in Victoria, B.C. Born in Halifax, he survived by his wife, Patricia Marie; two daughters, Nicole, Robin. He was a son of Bernard and Jean Parent, Halifax. He is survived by a sister, Bernadette Dawson, Dartmouth; four brothers, Paul, Claude, Denis, Rene, all of Dartmouth. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in CFB Shearwater Our Lady of Assumption Chapel, Padre Grayjan Barkiciak officiating. Reception to follow in Sea King Club, Sheawater.
