COLLISHAW, Walter Ronald (Sr.) - Son of William and Olive (née Swim) Collishaw.  He married Sarah Dorothea Kenney on 09 Jun 1942 in Atwoods Brook United Baptist Church. They had a son, Walter, and three daughters: Sally, Rosalie and Carolyn. Walter enlisted in the Navy on 18 Sep 1940 in the Halifax Rifles and then transferred to the Navy on 27 Jan 1942. He was discharged on 31 Jan 1946. He is buried in Birch Hill Cemetery, Bear Point, Shelburne Co., Nova Scotia.

Note: Walter was a rating in the RCNVR.  At some point he commissioned from the ranks.  The Navy List for Apr 1946 listed him as follows under "Removals - Officers of the Royal Canadian Navy (Reserve)":  "W. R. Collishaw, Skipper, Appointed terminated (Demobilized) 31 Jan 1946

On his marriage registration he is listed as an Able Seaman, Royal Navy (though this is likely RCNVR).
