MOORE, Douglas - Second World War Veteran of the Battle of the Atlantic, peacefully at Granite Ridge Residence on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee McMillan). Loving father of Harold (the late Elizabeth), Gordon (Lesley) and Marilyn Baird (Wayne). Grandfather of Cynthia, Heather and Kenneth, Simon, Virginia and Deidre, Graeme and Randall and great grandfather of five. Predeceased by sister Barbara Greer. Lifetime career with the Bank of Canada. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Monday, January 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 12th at 11am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.
