LE DREW, Frederick, L/Sto (M), V26321, RCNVR, MPK - 16 Apr 1945, HMCS ESQUIMALT - Son of George and Margaret Le Drew, of New Waterford, Nova Scotia; husband of Evangeline Le Drew, of New Waterford.

 

L/Sto Le Drew died when his ship, HMCS ESQUIMALT, was torpedoed and sunk by U-190 off the approaches to Halifax harbour.

 

Note: the (M) after L/Sto indicates that L/Sto Le Drew was qualified as a Auxiliary Machinery Watchkeeper.
