BOLIN, Gordon Walter, AB, V36102, RCNVR, MPK - 29 Mar 1945, HMCS TEME - Son of Marge Bolin, of San Francisco, California, U.S.A.. Husband of Sarah Bolin, of Glasgow.

 

AB Bolin died when HMCS TEME was torpedoed by U-315 on 29 Mar 1945. His body was never recovered.

VANCOUVER DIVISION RCNVR - Enlisted 22 Aug 1941 as an Assistant Cook (S).  Commenced Active Service 22 Aug 1941.

HMCS SKEENA - Served in SKEENA 13 Dec 1941 - 18 Dec 1941 while at training in HMCS CORNWALLIS (Halifax)

* Transferred to the Seaman Branch 24 Feb 1942

HMS MARLBOROUGH (Royal Navy Electrical training school, Eastbourne, East Sussex, England) - Served in MARLBOROUGH 10 Dec 1943 - 20 Feb 1944  as an A/AB, RCNVR

* Rated Seaman Torpedoman 12 Feb 1944 while at HMS MARLBOROUGH

HMCS MONNOW - Served in MONNOW 09 Mar 1944 - 22 May 1944 as an A/AB S.T., RCNVR

HMCS TEME - Drafted to TEME 31 Oct 1944 as an A/AB S.T., RCNVR
