WELLS, Aubrey Calland, LS, A4742, RCNR, died - 16 Nov 1944, HMCS TRENTONIAN - Son of Levi and Julia Wells; husband of Laura Wells, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

Leading Seaman A. C. Wells died at the Royal Air Force Hospital, St. Athans, Cardiff, Wales from acute gastritis and nephritis. He had taken ill on HMCS TRENTONIAN which was docked at Cardiff, Wales. He was buried in the Western Cemetery, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.

VENNIE (NOIC Gaspe for) - Served in VENNIE 19 Aug 1941 - 31 Jul 1942 as an AB, RCNR.  (Webmaster's note: there does not appear to be any ship named VENNIE in any known records of RCN ships.  It is believed the ship is HMCS VENNING)

HDPC 2 (FORT RAMSAY for) - Served in HDPC-2 01 Aug 1942 - 03 Dec 1942

HMCS ST CLAIR - Served in ST CLAIR 21 Jan 1943 - 16 Jan 1944 as an AB and A/LS, RCNR.  Rated A/LS 01 Jun 1943

HMCS TRENTONIAN - Drafted to TRENTONIAN 04 Mar 1944 as an A/LS, RCNR
