SILVESTER, Charles Victor, Victualling Petty Officer, 40604, RCN, died - 24 Nov 1941, HMCS COLUMBIA - Son of Mrs. Priscilla Silvester, Victoria, BC.

 

PO Silvester, having recently complained to his mess mates about having problems sleeping, appeared to have acquired sleeping pills while ashore.  He died from an overdose of sleeping pills. He is buried in the Fossvogur Cemetery, Reykjavik, Iceland.
