ADAMOWSKI, Edward J. - Born Aug. 01, 1936, in North Battleford Saskatchewan. Died on Nov. 11, 2020 in Victoria B.C.

Passing away after a lengthy battle with Asbestosis, Ted is now reunited with his wife Abby, where they can spend their time golfing in the Great Beyond.

Ted spent the first 21 years of his career as a Stoker in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he sailed the world on such vessels as HMCS Ontario, Chaudiere, and Saskatchewan. Retiring from the Navy in 1975, he went to work in Records at VIRCC (Wilkinson Rd. Jail) until his final retirement in 1993. He really hit his stride after retirement, where he passed his time golfing with his wife, and spending mornings chatting over coffee with his friends, until he could no longer manage the pace.

His family would like to thank all the health care workers, especially at Beacon/VIHA, who made his last year as comfortable as possible.

He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Ann Hawkins of Winnipeg, MB, and Barbara in Victoria BC his three children, Diana White, Alison Adamowski Merriam, and John Adamowski; his grandchildren Connor and Emily White, Harrison, Payton and Jameson Merriam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, there will be no services at this time. (Victoria Times Colonist 08 Dec 2020)
